Day 1: Travel from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Your safari begins with an early breakfast at your hotel. At 7:30 AM, your guide will pick you up and brief you about the journey ahead. You will then embark on a 6-hour drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On the way, there will be a few stopovers, including a visit to the Equator, where you can take photographs. A stop will also be made in Mbarara town at Agip Motel for lunch, giving you a chance to stretch and refresh.
As you continue your journey, you will pass through spectacular landscapes, including open grasslands, Ankole log-horned cattle, tea plantations, the Rift Valley Escarpment, and various woodlands. You will arrive at the park in the late afternoon, where a short game drive will give you your first glimpse of the park’s incredible wildlife. Afterward, you will head to Elephant Hab Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Safari
The day starts early with a hot cup of coffee or tea before heading out for a game drive along different trails in the park, including the Kasenyi trail. During the drive, you will have opportunities to see a variety of animals such as Uganda Kobs, waterbucks, elephants, buffaloes, lions, warthogs, and various bird species. The Kasenyi trail is particularly famous for its abundance of wildlife.
After the game drive, you will return to Elephant Hab Lodge for a hearty breakfast and lunch. In the afternoon, you will embark on a 2-hour boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake George and Lake Edward. The boat cruise offers a chance to view more wildlife, such as hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, and kobs. The banks of the channel are also home to a wide range of bird species, including malachite kingfishers and pink-backed pelicans. This relaxing boat ride is a perfect way to witness the diversity of life along the water’s edge. Afterward, enjoy dinner and relax at the lodge for the evening.

Day 3: Departure to Kampala
On your final day, enjoy a hearty breakfast at the lodge, reflecting on the experiences of the past two days. You will check out of the lodge and have the option to take a primate walk in the park (optional). Afterward, you will begin the journey back to Kampala. During the drive, there will be a stop at the Mpambire Drum Centre, where you can observe local artisans crafting traditional drums and purchase souvenirs. You will then continue your journey to Kampala, arriving in the evening, where you will be dropped off at your hotel.
