Accommodation at  Tulia Boutique  Hotel

After breakfast, you will start your journey to the unique Tarangire National Park. One of the last untouched places on earth, the park is famous for its huge herds of elephants against a stunning backdrop of majestic, ancient Baobab trees. Many of Tarangire’s larger residents follow the rains to greener pastures between November and June. Wildebeest and zebras join elephants, buffalo, and giraffes to form a wildlife migration second only to the Serengeti/Maasai Mara phenomenon

There are large populations of impala, giraffe, eland, and buffalo. Thompson’s gazelle, hartebeest, boho reedbuck, and both the greater and lesser kudu are also in abundance here. Lion pride is common throughout Tarangire in terms of predators, as are leopards and spotted hyenas. Packs of wild dogs sometimes pass through as well.

After a full day spent exploring Tarangire, at 6pm you will head to your lodge for dinner and overnight rest.

You won’t find many better national parks in Africa than the Serengeti, which has few rivals when it comes to both the numbers and variety of animals. Track down the annual migration of wildebeest and zebra. Enjoy the vast horizons that are perfect for spotting predators (especially lions, leopards, cheetahs and spotted hyenas) and their prey (buffaloes, impalas and kongoni), as well as elephants and giraffes. If you’re really lucky you’ll see a hunt, one of the most exhilarating sights anywhere in the wild. And at every turn, revel in its beauty, with flat-topped acacia trees silhouetted against the setting sun, and so many other classic African safari images.
Visit Olduvai Gorge & Museum, Olduvai Gorge Come with us on a journey back through human history as you visit Olduvai Gorge and the museum that overlooks it. The archaeological findings here in the 1950s and 1960s helped usbetter understand the origins of humankind. Explore the gorge and visit the excellent museum, which tells this remarkable story.

The endless plains of the Serengeti…

Your drive will begin around 6am in search of nocturnal predators returning from their night’s hunting and animals waking up in the early dawn. Breakfast boxes will be prepared for you to enjoy and as soon as the sun rises. After breakfast you will go in search of prides of lions, cheetahs and leopards, just a handful of the many animals residing in the park. We will pass by the Serengeti information centre in the Seronera area for a brief look at the history of the region.

We will then return to your lodge for a relaxed lunch and cold drinks. Later in the afternoon, when the sun is less intense, you have the option to go on an early evening game drive or undertake a nature walk around the camp with resident tribesmen, who will be happy to share their knowledge of the surrounding plants and animals.

An early morning start in the Serengeti to try and find cats before they retreat from the blazing sun during the day. After a few hours of the game drive, travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you will overnight. The Ngorongoro caldera is the largest unflooded and unbroken caldera in the world. At approximately 20 kilometers across and 600 meters deep, the Ngorongoro Crater is a breath-taking natural wonder.

Walk in the most spectacular scenery in Africa

This scenic walking safari takes place in the Ngorongoro Conservation area with the largest unbroken caldera in the world; the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater. During this remote walking safari you will explore extinct volcanoes, diverse landscapes, wildlife and meet the local Maasai who live in this area. Immerse yourself in these beautiful highlands, away from the crowds. The views and scenery are truly breathtaking.

After walking Safari, you will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro conservation Area supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park, it’s dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually be seen here

After an early breakfast, your driver will pick you up and transfer you to Lake Eyasi to visit the last hunter-gatherers in East Africa – the Datoga and Hadzabe tribes. Step back in time and learn about the realities of daily life in Tanzania’s bush, where the Datoga and Hadzabe tribes grow no food, raise no livestock, live without rules or calendars and rely solely on hunting and the gathering of fruits and berries for their survival. Watch in amazement as they craft bows and arrows out of animal tendons and wood, extract sap from the Commiphora tree to use as mosquito repellent and make delicious drinks using the fruits of the baobab which are joyfully shared after a successful day of hunting.

Your safari in Tanzania will come to an end, bringing to a close your time in this remarkable country. We’re sure that you have had the most wonderful time.
