Exotic Travel Centre Terms and Conditions

Deposit Requirements

A 30% deposit is required at the time of booking.

60% of the total cost is due 30 days before departure.

The remaining 10% is payable at the start of the safari.

For bookings made within 30 days of departure, we advise an 80% deposit, with the remaining 20% to be settled on the day the safari begins.

Reservations

Confirmation

A booking is considered confirmed upon receipt of a 30% deposit of the total travel cost.

Transportation

We use well-maintained vehicles including tour vans, Land Cruisers, Land Rovers, and Toyota minibuses with pop-up roofs specifically designed for safaris.

Confirm the type of vehicle you require. For city transfers, we use station wagons, saloon cars, or coaches for transfers to and from the airport or within the city.

Exotic Travel Centre reserves the right to utilize subcontractors for certain services.

Rates

Rates are based on current fares and costs at the time of publication and are subject to change without notice if fares or costs fluctuate due to currency variations.

Cancellations

If you cancel, the deposit will be refunded minus any expenses incurred, including administrative fees and bank charges. For cancellations made within 60 days of the tour’s start, a cancellation fee of 50% of the tour cost will apply. Cancellations made between 45 and 3 days before the tour will incur fees according to terms set by other suppliers (e.g., lodges). For cancellations within 48 hours or in the event of a no-show, 100% of the booking’s net value will be charged. Gorilla permits are non-refundable. We strongly recommend obtaining trip cancellation insurance.

Tour Alteration

We reserve the right to modify any route or arrangements if necessary, to offer alternatives of equal value, or to operate any scheduled tour. We also reserve the right to refuse or remove any participant from a tour at any time, in which case a fair amount will be refunded. Gorilla permits may be transferable in some cases.

Liability

(1) The company and its agents act solely as intermediaries for the passenger in relation to hotel accommodation, sightseeing, tours, and transportation, whether by aircraft, rail, road, motor-coach, ship, boat, or other means. They are not liable for any injury, delay, loss, or damage arising from any cause.

(2) The company’s liability for passengers using its own vehicles is governed by the laws of the country where the tour occurs, and all claims are subject to the jurisdiction of the relevant courts.

(3) The company reserves the right to engage subcontractors for any part of the services provided, with the liability terms outlined in clause 1 applying in such cases.

(4) While every effort is made to ensure safety, the company is not responsible for loss or damage to baggage. It is advisable to obtain separate baggage insurance.

(i) In the event of a claim against the Travel Agent or Tour Operator for breach of contract, negligence, or fault by the company, the company will indemnify the Travel Agent or Tour Operator only if such a claim would have been awarded in the courts of the country where the tour takes place, provided the Travel Agent or Tour Operator has submitted to the jurisdiction of those courts.

(ii) Regarding any claim mentioned in sub-clause (i), the company’s liability is strictly limited to the terms outlined in this clause.
