Day 1: Mombasa to Tsavo East National Park
Your safari adventure begins with an early departure from Mombasa. After breakfast, you’ll embark on a 2 to 2.5-hour road journey to Tsavo East National Park (approximately 140 km). Upon arrival, you’ll enjoy a game drive through the park, where you can expect to see large herds of elephants, lions, giraffes, and more. The Park is also home to stunning landscapes, including the famous Yatta Plateauand Aruba Dam, both known for attracting a variety of wildlife.
After your game drive, check into your lodge or camp for lunch and some relaxation before your evening game drive. The late afternoon game drive will give you another opportunity to spot wildlife, as well as enjoy the beautiful scenery. As the day winds down, you’ll return to your accommodation for a restful dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Tsavo East to Amboseli National Park
After an early breakfast, you’ll check out and begin your 3.5-hour drive to Amboseli National Park, located around 200 km away. The drive will take you through the scenic Chyulu Hills and the town of Taveta, offering views of rural Kenya and distant mountains. Upon arrival in Amboseli, you’ll check into your lodge or camp and enjoy lunch.
In the afternoon, you’ll head out for your first game drive in Amboseli, known for its stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro and large herds of elephants. During the drive, you’ll also have the chance to see lions, zebras, buffaloes, giraffes, and other wildlife. After the game drive, return to your lodge for a delicious dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 3: Full Day in Amboseli National Park
Today is dedicated to exploring Amboseli more deeply. The day begins with an early morning game drive, where you’ll have the chance to spot predators, elephants, and other wildlife while the animals are most active in the cooler hours. Afterward, return to your lodge for breakfast and enjoy some time to relax. You may also have the option to visit a Maasai village nearby to learn about their culture and traditions.
Following lunch, you’ll embark on another game drive in the afternoon, when the animals are still active and the lighting is perfect for photography, especially with the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Amboseli offers some of the best opportunities for wildlife photography in Kenya, particularly with elephants and other large mammals set against the stunning mountain. After your game drive, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Amboseli to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary and Return to Mombasa
After breakfast, you’ll check out of your Amboseli accommodation and begin the 3.5-hour drive to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, located about 150 km away. The sanctuary is known for its beautiful rolling hills, diverse wildlife, and serene atmosphere. Upon arrival, you’ll check into your lodge, and after lunch, you’ll set off for an afternoon game drive. Taita Hills offers excellent opportunities to see elephants, buffalo, and a variety of antelope species in a peaceful setting.
After your game drive, return to your lodge for dinner, before departing for Mombasa in the evening. The drive back takes around 3 hours, and you’ll arrive in Mombasa by late evening (around 9:00 PM).
