Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi and Flight to Masai Mara
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be met by your safari representative who will assist you in transferring to Wilson Airport for your flight to the Masai Mara. The flight takes about 45 minutes, and you’ll be treated to incredible aerial views of the Great Rift Valley. Once you land at Mara Serena Airstrip, you’ll be transferred to your chosen camp.
After checking in, enjoy a hearty lunch before heading out for your first game drive in Masai Mara. The Mara is known for its abundant wildlife, and during your game drive, you’ll have the chance to see a variety of animals, including lions, elephants, cheetahs, buffaloes, and giraffes. As the day winds down, you’ll return to your lodge to enjoy dinner and overnight at the camp, reflecting on your first exciting day in the Mara.

Day 2: Full Day in Masai Mara
On your second day in the Masai Mara, you’ll begin with an early morning game drive, which is the best time to spot predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs while they are still active after a night of hunting. Afterward, return to your lodge for a delicious breakfast and take some time to relax.
For an unforgettable experience, you may choose to book a hot air balloon safari (at an additional cost). This ride over the Mara plains at sunrise offers a bird’s-eye view of the wildlife and landscapes, followed by a champagne breakfast in the bush—one of the most memorable ways to start your day.
In the afternoon, embark on another game drive to explore different areas of the park. The Masai Mara offers diverse habitats, from open savannah to dense forest along the Mara River, making it perfect for spotting a wide range of wildlife. Return to your lodge for a relaxed dinner and overnight stay, reflecting on the day’s adventures.

Day 3: Masai Mara to Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, you’ll check out of your Mara accommodation and transfer to Mara SerenaAirstrip for your flight to Amboseli National Park. The flight takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes, offering scenic views of Kenya’s diverse landscapes. Upon arrival at Amboseli Airstrip, you’ll be transferred to your lodge or camp.
After checking in and enjoying lunch, you’ll head out for an afternoon game drive in Amboseli, famous for its vast elephant herds and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro. The park’s diverse habitats, including swamps, savannahs, and acacia woodlands, support a wide range of wildlife, including elephants, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, and many bird species. You’ll enjoy the tranquility of Amboseli and return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Full Day in Amboseli National Park
On your full day in Amboseli, you’ll start the day with an early game drive, when the animals are most active. As you explore the park’s open plains and swamps, you will likely encounter large herds of elephants, buffaloes, and other wildlife, all set against the stunning backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. This is a great time for wildlife photography, as the light is perfect for capturing the animals with the mountain behind them.
After returning to your lodge for breakfast, you can relax or opt to visit a nearby Maasai village (at an additional cost). This visit will give you a fascinating insight into the Maasai people’s traditional way of life and their close connection with the land and wildlife.
In the afternoon, you’ll set out for another game drive in Amboseli, where you’ll have another opportunity to spot more wildlife. You may see lions, cheetahs, and hyenas, as well as other species that thrive in this rich environment. As the day ends, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Flight Back to Nairobi and Departure
On your last day, you’ll have the option of an early morning game drive before breakfast. This final game drive provides one last chance to spot wildlife in Amboseli and enjoy the stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Afterward, you’ll return to your lodge for breakfast and check out.
You’ll then be transferred to Amboseli Airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi. The flight takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Upon arrival at Wilson Airport in Nairobi, you’ll be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your international flight home or to your hotel if you plan to extend your stay in Nairobi.
