Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara
Your safari adventure begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi. You will drive through the scenic Great Rift Valley, making a brief stop to take in the panoramic views of this World Heritage Site. The journey continues towards Masai Mara National Reserve, where you will arrive in time for lunch at Masai Mara Sopa Lodge. This beautiful lodge is nestled within the Mara conservancy and provides a serene atmosphere to unwind before your first game drive.
In the afternoon, you’ll have an optional game drive where you may encounter a range of wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, and perhaps even lions as they start their evening activities. Afterward, return to the lodge to relax, enjoy a delicious dinner, and prepare for your full day of exploration the next day.

Day 2: Full Day Game Drive in Masai Mara
Today is a full day dedicated to exploring the famous Masai Mara National Reserve, one of Africa’s most celebrated safari destinations. After an early breakfast, you’ll head out on a morning game drive to track down the Big Five lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and rhinoceros. Masai Mara is renowned for its abundant wildlife, and depending on the time of year, you may even witness the Great Migration of wildebeest and zebras.
Around midday, return to the lodge for a relaxed lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive. This drive will offer a different perspective of the reserve as you explore various parts of the park. You may also have the opportunity to visit a Maasai village for a cultural experience, learning about the traditions of this proud indigenous community. The evening will be spent back at the lodge, where you can enjoy a quiet dinner and unwind after an exciting day of wildlife viewing.

Day 3: Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, you’ll depart from Masai Mara and drive toward Lake Nakuru, a journey that takes approximately 5 hours. Along the way, you’ll drive through the scenic Rift Valley, offering beautiful views of the valley floor and surrounding hills. Arriving at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge in time for lunch, you’ll have the afternoon to rest and enjoy the lodge’s facilities, which boast sweeping views of the lake and its surrounding wildlife-rich environment.
In the late afternoon, venture into Lake Nakuru National Park for a game drive. The Park is famous for its massive flocks of flamingos that flock to the lake’s shores, creating a stunning spectacle. The Park is also a sanctuary for black and white rhinos, and you may have the chance to spot these magnificent creatures during your drive. Afterward, return to the lodge for dinner and a relaxing evening.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Amboseli
After an early breakfast, you’ll check out and continue your journey south towards Amboseli National Park. The drive will take approximately 5 hours, crossing through the bustling town of Nairobi before heading to the park. Upon arrival at Amboseli Sopa Lodge, you’ll be welcomed with a delicious lunch and have time to settle in.
In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive in Amboseli National Park. Famous for its large elephant herds and breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the park offers a truly magical safari experience. You’ll have the chance to see a variety of animals, including elephants, lions, cheetahs, and a wealth of bird species. Return to the lodge in the late afternoon to unwind and enjoy a delicious dinner with panoramic views of the park and the iconic mountain.

Day 5: Full Day in Amboseli
After an early breakfast, you’ll depart for a full-day game drive in Amboseli National Park. The park’s landscape is dominated by the striking Mount Kilimanjaro, which often presents a spectacular backdrop for wildlife sightings, particularly elephants. The Park is home to one of the highest concentrations of elephants in Africa, and your morning game drive will offer ample opportunities for elephant sightings. The Park is also known for its variety of birdlife, including the colorful lilac-breasted roller and the African fish eagle.
You’ll return to the lodge for lunch and enjoy some time to relax before heading out for another game drive in the afternoon. In the evening, take in the beautiful sunset while observing wildlife against the backdrop of Africa’s tallest mountain. Dinner will be served back at the lodge, and you can reflect on the day’s adventures.

Day 6: Amboseli – Nairobi
On your final day, enjoy an early breakfast at the lodge before embarking on a morning game drive to catch any last-minute wildlife sightings. As you head back to the lodge, you’ll have time to reflect on the incredible experiences you’ve had over the past few days.
After check-out, you’ll begin your drive back to Nairobi, where you will arrive in the afternoon or early evening. You’ll be dropped off at your Nairobi hotel or the airport for your onward journey.
