This itinerary opens in Cape Town with Table Mountain and the V&A Waterfront, then heads east along the Garden Route through Knysna's lagoon and Oudtshoorn's caves and ostrich farms. From there it shifts entirely into safari mode — open-vehicle game drives at Addo Elephant National Park and a full day at Kwantu Private Game Reserve — before closing in Johannesburg with a visit to Gold Reef City's underground mine and gold-pouring demonstration. Everything you need to know
Day 1
Arrival in Cape Town
- • Meet your representative at the airport exit after immigration, then a private transfer to your hotel with Masala Tea and Kanda Bhaji served en route. Evening at leisure to explore the city.
Day 2
Cape Town City Tour
- • A guided city orientation tour with a cable car ride to Table Mountain (weather permitting), a drive through the Malay Quarter, a visit to the Jewel Africa diamond showroom, and the V&A Waterfront.
Day 3
Cape Town — Knysna
- • Travel along the scenic Garden Route to Knysna, the Oyster Capital, finishing with a relaxing sunset lagoon cruise.
Day 4
Oudtshoorn & Cango Excursion
- • Explore the Cango Caves, then the Cango Wildlife Ranch for a cheetah and crocodile experience, before continuing to Oudtshoorn for an ostrich farm visit with a lifecycle demonstration. Return to Knysna.
Day 5
Knysna — Addo Elephant National Park
- • Early breakfast and travel to Addo for an afternoon open-vehicle safari, with the chance to observe elephants and other wildlife. Optional horse riding available.
Day 6
Addo — Port Elizabeth
- • Breakfast at the lodge, then travel to Port Elizabeth to visit the Cape Recife Nature Reserve and enjoy the beaches and Boardwalk area. Dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 7
Port Elizabeth — Kwantu Game Reserve
- • Transfer to Kwantu Private Game Reserve for an afternoon Big Five safari in an open vehicle.
Day 8
Full Day Safari at Kwantu
- • A complete safari day with both a morning and afternoon game drive, and leisure time at the lodge facilities in between.
Day 9
Kwantu — Johannesburg
- • Transfer to Johannesburg to visit Gold Reef City theme park and its underground mine, with a live gold-pouring demonstration and traditional cultural dance performance.
Day 10

- • Breakfast at the hotel, then transfer to the airport for your departure flight — closing out ten days that covered city, coastline, two safaris and gold-mining heritage.
