Journey Itinerary

Day 1 – Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up from Kampala or Entebbe. The drive to Bwindi is long but scenic (~8 hours), offering chances to explore local Ugandan culture along the way. Stop at the Equator for iconic photos, and enjoy lunch en route.

Arrive at Rushaga Gorilla Camp by evening, where you’ll unwind, have dinner, and prepare for your gorilla trekking experience the next day.

Distance: 522 km / ~8 hours

Day 2 – Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing by UWA rangers. You'll be assigned to a gorilla family and begin the thrilling trek through Bwindi’s thick rainforest.

Tracking can take 2–6 hours, depending on where the gorillas were last seen. Once found, spend one magical hour observing them in their natural habitat. It’s an emotional, once-in-a-lifetime encounter.

Return to camp, collect your gorilla trekking certificate, and enjoy a peaceful evening.

Day 3 – Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, depart Bwindi for Queen Elizabeth National Park, a journey of around 5 hours. Arrive in time for a sunset game drive, where you may spot elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and predators like lions and leopards.

Settle into Elephant Hab Lodge, your home for the next two nights.

Day 4 – Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

Begin your day with a morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, known for high predator activity. Expect to see Uganda Kobs, elephants, buffaloes, and lions.

After lunch at the lodge, enjoy a 2-hour boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, where hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and exotic birds crowd the riverbanks.

Day 5 – Salt Lake Visit & Return to Kampala/Entebbe

After breakfast, you may visit the Katwe Salt Lakes, a fascinating site of traditional salt mining. Alternatively, take a final game drive through the Mweya Peninsula.

After lunch, begin your return journey to Kampala or Entebbe, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or the airport.
