


Day 1: Arrival in Dar es Salaam – Leisure And Pre-Safari Briefing
- Upon arrival at Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam, you will be warmly welcomed by our team.
- You will then enjoy a comfortable transfer to Mediterraneo Hotel for check-in.
- The remainder of the day will be at leisure, allowing you time to relax after your journey or explore the city at your own pace.
- In the evening, we will gather at the hotel for a practical pre-safari briefing. During this session, we will review your itinerary, answer any questions you may have, and confirm that all required medical and travel insurance documents are in order.
- Dinner will be served at the hotel, followed by an overnight stay at the Hotel.
Day 2: Transfer to Zanzibar – Stone Town Exploration
- After breakfast at the hotel, you will transfer to the ferry terminal for your boat journey from Dar es Salaam to Zanzibar Island.
- Upon arrival, our representative will meet you at the port and transfer you to Tembo House Hotel for check-in.
- The remainder of the day will be free for you to explore Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its rich cultural heritage and historic architecture.
- Lunch arrangements are flexible, giving you the opportunity to choose from the many charming restaurants within Stone Town.
- In the evening, return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Stone Town Discovery
- Begin your day with breakfast at Tembo House Hotel.
- Enjoy a guided morning walk through Stone Town, discovering its fascinating history and cultural landmarks.
- Visit iconic sites such as the House of Wonders, Palace Museum, and the historic Old Fort.
- Lunch will be at a restaurant of your choice (at your own expense).
- After lunch, explore the bustling local markets, narrow winding streets, and admire the beautifully carved wooden doors that make Stone Town so unique.
- Return to the Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Spice Tour And Jozani Forest
- After breakfast, check out from the hotel and embark on an exciting Spice Tour through the spice and fruit plantations surrounding Stone Town.
- Discover the origins and traditional uses of various spices and herbs used in local cuisine and medicine.
- Enjoy a delicious spice-infused lunch at the home of your local guide.
- Continue to Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park, home to the rare Zanzibar Red Colobus Monkey.
- You may also enjoy a guided walk along the mangrove boardwalk to learn about the fascinating mangrove ecosystem.
- Later, proceed to the Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Jambiani Village Safari
- After breakfast, depart for a scenic coastal drive through picturesque fishing villages to Jambiani, a traditional East Coast Swahili fishing village.
- Participate in a cultural village tour and experience everyday local life.
- Lunch during the tour will be at your own arrangement.
- Visit a local herbalist to learn about traditional healing methods.
- Explore an organic plantation and visit seaweed farms run by local women, gaining insight into an important community livelihood.
- Experience the rich culture and traditions of the Waswahili people.
- Continue to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Dolphin Safari in Kizimkazi
- Enjoy breakfast at your lodge before departing for Kizimkazi.
- The morning will be spent on a dolphin safari, where you may spot bottlenose and humpback dolphins, with the opportunity to swim alongside them if conditions permit.
- Return to Kichanga Lodge for lunch.
- The afternoon will be at leisure to relax on the beach, take a stroll, or enjoy optional activities of your choice.
- You may also opt for a romantic over-water sundowner experience (optional).
- Dinner and overnight stay at the Lodge
Day 7: Transfer to Dar es Salaam – Departure
- After breakfast, you will transfer to the ferry terminal for your return ferry to Dar es Salaam.
- Upon arrival, continue with your onward travel arrangements, marking the end of your unforgettable Zanzibar adventure.
