Located in northern Ethiopia, the Danakil Depression is one of the hottest and lowest places on the planet, famous for its colorful geothermal fields, vast salt flats, and surreal mineral formations. The highlight of this adventure is hiking to witness the rare, continuously active lava lake at Erta Ale-one of the very few permanent lava lakes in the world.
